Power Outage

1. During a power outage or any other type of emergency situation, our primary goal is to protect students. In case of a power failure at a school, students will remain at school.

2. During a power outage the director of maintenance will call Puget Sound Energy to get information as to cause, affected areas and an estimated time for power restoration in each area.

3. In case of an emergency condition such as an earthquake, maintenance staff will immediately make a general assessment of each building and report any damage. Emergency repairs and necessary follow-up steps will be coordinated by the district maintenance and operations directors in conjunction with the district’s emergency procedures.

4. In case of natural disaster or other emergency, students will remain at school until it is safe to leave.
Parents should use their own discretion if they would prefer to pick up their child at school.
